“ If you want take out bbq, this is the place. Always consistent! Ribs or Brisket it's on point good. Love all there sides but there baked beans are unique but the best I've had anywhere. They also have homemade bread that comes with the plates. Always greeted by a friendly smile. Can't go wrong, get you some. ”
“ We wanted BBQ so we We drove 18miles to Point Blue BBQ. We were greated with friendly smiles . We ordered 2 pork steak and 1 smoked sausage plates, and homemade bread pudding, they were unbelievably delicious, the meat was seasoned well alone with the trimmings. Believe me it's well worth the drive, we will definitely go back. ”
“ Stopped by again at Point Blue. It's very hard for me to say this because I never like to make others feel bad but the ribs that I got the last two times are the absolute best ribs I have ever eaten between the Atlantic and Pacific. They were like butter. Every bit of meat fell off the bone and the fat melted in your mouth coating it with this delicious smoky flavor. Brisket was fabulous as well. Sides were on . And the bread is so good that it deserves its own separate review. It's like Evangeline maid old fashion bread BUT way better. We stopped here for the first time and were completely blown away by how delicious everything that we tried was. I ordered 3 brisket lunch plates and one rib plate only meat for myself and my wife, 7 and 4 year old boys. When we sat down to eat at home the portions on the lunches was so much that the boys and wife ate on one brisket lunch and still had leftovers. I devoured the rib plate. They all came with a home made bread that was thick cut and wonderful. The beans were delicious as well. But back to the bread, I would order extra slices just to make a sandwich with the leftovers of the brisket. And wow the brisket and ribs were some of the best I've ever tasted. I will definitely be back. They are well worth the 17 mile trip from home. I'll have to try some of those wonderfully looking desserts too. ”
“ Stopped here after a camping trip to lake chicot. Me and the boys were all super happy with the food we got, the people running the stand were so nice! As for the food, I've never had better. ”
“ The food here is always hot and delicious, and two people could share one plate. For the food you get with one plate the price is way more than fair for sure! Call ahead and order early because they sell out really fast most weekends! Well worth the price, the drive and/or the wait! ”
“ Amazing bbq brisket sandwich was extremely tender great flavor bread pudding was surprisingly tasty call in before you get there sells fast ”
“ Our group of 9 had just finished up hiking and camping at Lake Chicot State Park, and we were famished. We couldn’t find anything open in Ville Platte so we looked up some places and saw Blue Point and knew we needed some BBQ. When we pulled up we were sure they were gonna be GOOD. And they were. They treated all of us, were super kind and had the best tasting BBQ I’ve had. I’ve spent a lot of time in Texas and not had any BBQ as good as what the have going south of Ville Platte. ”
“ My hubby and I stopped by here for Saturday lunch on our way to visit Chicot State Park. We got there at 10:45 and almost everything had already been sold out except burgers and sausage. I ordered the last pork roast they had available on their homemade honey buns. My husband has the brisket stuffed twice baked potato with baked beans and potato salad on the side. For desert, we split the strawberry cream cheese bread pudding. My sliced pork roast burger was very good. It came with two different sauces on the side which were also very good. My husband said his brisket potato was also very good. He said it had a good smoky flavor but could have used a little more butter and seasining. A couple Tony’s seasoning containers on the picnic tables would be helpful. The potato salad was standard, nothing special. The bbq beans were sweet but very good. The strawberry bread pudding was certainly not traditional but very moist and good. It was probably my personal favorite out of everything. There are a couple picnic tables to sit at the under these very old beautiful oak trees. The price, BTW, was beyond reasonable!! All of the food we got was only $28! This place is definitely off of the beaten path but worth the drive if you are in the area. Just remember to get there EARLY before they sell out if everything. ”
